There’s a new regional park at the northwest edge of Calgary, adjacent to the Bearspaw Reservoir with the Bow River to the west and south. Haskayne Legacy Park is 126 hectares of traditional western ranchlands that will preserve and protect the ecological and human heritage in the area. You’ll enjoy the spectacular mountain and prairie views at this park.
On September 16, 2023, everyone is invited to the grand opening celebration of Haskayne Legacy Park. There will be free activities, including wagon rides, pancakes, indigenous educational opportunities, live music, and more. Google Maps doesn’t necessarily have the new road listed, so find a map here. There will also be a free shuttle from Crowfoot and Tuscany LRT Stations.
