What to do at the Harvest Pumpkin Fest?

The Butterfield Acres Harvest Pumpkin Fest is all about fall family fun! Stroll through the farmyard and visit your favourite farm animals one last time before winter. Your kids will love searching for their perfect pumpkin. A tractor-pulled wagon ride through Scarecrow Alley brings you the best seasonal foliage, along with over 200 scarecrows to spot. There are loads of opportunities to take your fall pictures and if it’s chilly, everyone can warm up by a crackling fire.

Families can also add extra fun to their day for a small fee. Pony rides are available to purchase for children under 60 lbs or you could book a private wagon to tour Scarecrow Alley. While you warm up by the fire, you can purchase s’more kits. Or try hot chocolate, apple cider, coffee, pumpkin pie, and other fall treats.

Of course, kids will love the day even more, when they get to dress up! Costumes are encouraged, so plan out your favourite, family-friendly Halloween costumes!

You can visit Butterfield Acres for the Harvest Pumpkin Fest every Saturday and Sunday in October. The farm is open from 10 am – 4 pm and tickets are for a specific 2-hour window. Keep in mind that there is an adult-to-child ratio of one adult for three children. Pumpkins are also for sale by weight.
