Hot chocolate, the laughter of friends, the smell of fresh baking — so many of our best winter and Christmas memories come from the kitchen, with delicious aromas and the glow of family. This December, your kids can ring in the festive season in the warmth of Nini’s Cooking Class kitchen, with songs, cooking and baking, and beautiful holiday memories.
Nini’s Cooking Class was created to educate, encourage, and get families excited about getting their own kids into the kitchen. Chef Nini began her own culinary journey at a young age, from her grandmother, mother, and sisters who attended culinary schools. She continued to strengthen her skills by attending culinary training herself and began to prepare her own signature meals and entertain friends. Nini’s Cooking Class programs cultivate a love of cooking healthy foods and enable kids to help out at home and create recipes on their own. There will be a positive impact on their life-long eating habits.
Winter Cooking Camps run on weekends in December or during the winter break. Morning sessions take place from 9 am – 12 pm and afternoon classes are 1 – 4 pm; you can register for one session or both. Sign up for a one-day camp on a weekend or a four-day camp during the break. It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas is from December 19 – 22, 2022, and Let It Snow is from December 26 – 29, 2022. Menus for these camps include delicious holiday treats.
What does your camper need to bring? A smile, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and have fun! They get to eat their own food, so you may want to send them with a takeaway container, in case there are leftovers. Don’t forget a labelled water bottle, and for kitchen safety reasons, please wear indoor closed-toe shoes only and have hair tied back. Everything else, ingredients, tools, and aprons, will be provided for the duration of the camp, as kids learn how to work with new equipment and different ingredients.
