Childhood is time to imagine, explore, and discover the possibilities! Whether it’s singing into a hairbrush to the imaginary crowd in the bathroom mirror to creating an epic adventure with a box, a stick, and a pillow, it’s the life of a kid!
When parents have to work and the kids are off school, families face new scheduling challenges. But when the kids are out for spring break this year, it’s time to play with Quest Theatre! Your child can explore, have fun, make new friends, and get creative, as Quest Theatre has been bringing exceptional make-believe adventures to young people for 35 years! Quest Theatre’s drama camp program provides students with an unforgettable theatrical creation adventure through the whimsical and inspirational experience of theatre. Playing creatively develops theatrical skills and somewhere in the dramatic travels a story develops and characters emerge.
The Quest Theatre professional instructors love to share their passion for theatre while they celebrate the organic, ridiculous, and brilliant ideas of your child! Everyone’s ideas matter. Spring break camps are based at cSPACE King Edward in Marda Loop and are offered from March 23 – 27, 2020, and April 14 – 17, 2020, for kids ages 6 to 12 years. The camps offer professional instruction, small class sizes, and lots of FUN. Children gain self-esteem, confidence, communication tools, and friendships, as well as learning about the Arts. Storytelling, imaginative play, and group activities create a fun and playful environment. Making theatre harnesses the creative ability that young people already possess and teaches skills such as teamwork, dedication, and problem-solving.
The BEST thing about these camps? Kids are encouraged to develop their OWN ideas for play creation. Quest knows that championing a young person’s innovations, no matter how slight, goes a long way in developing their love and pursuit of creativity. Wild ideas, crazy characters, and silly voices are all welcome! This creativity benefits children in every aspect of life. On the final day, everyone celebrates with a final performance for friends and family, written and created by each class.
Schedule: The Quest Theatre spring break camp is for full days, running from 9 am – 4 pm.
Before/After Care: If your schedule requires a longer day, you can access paid care for drop off by 8 am and pick up by 5 pm.
