RO5iE, a robot roller coaster, has opened at TELUS Spark! A new and permanent feature at Spark, RO5iE was created by the German robotics company, Kuka, and BEC Rides. This is Canada’s first robot roller coaster and it gives Calgarians a pay-to-play opportunity to experience a ‘revolution in recreation’.
There are five levels of intensity, from a more peaceful ride to a more intense, upside-down ride. Kids ages six and up are welcome to ride, as long as they are at least 4 feet tall. Tickets to RO5iE can be added to a General Admission non-member ticket for $10 or $7 for members. The ride seats three, so you can also buy three tickets for a discount: $25 for non-members and $20 for members.
Creative Experience Manager, Lowell, is in charge of this robot roller coaster. He invites everyone to see Spark’s Atrium from a new perspective and come enjoy the ride. RO5iE will be open during TELUS Spark hours, so plan a visit to get up close and personal with robotics!
