Do you know a young performer or budding star who is ready to shine? Rockit Kids Performing Arts is now registering kids who love to move for summer camp! Budding stars will learn about song interpretation, choreography, and movement, while simultaneously building personal skills in the realm of self esteem, focus, listening skills, vocabulary development and more. The program also gives kids a chance to learn how to express themselves and meet new friends who share a similar love of music and theatre.
Rockit Kids Summer Camps
In addition to the regular programs that Rockit Kids runs throughout the year, they also offer a summer camp to keep kids occupied over the summer while honing their chops in the realm of music, singing and dance.
Rockit Kids Summer Camp is open to kids aged 5-10 and will give them a place to sing, dance, make new friends, and burn off some of their summer energy! No experience is necessary and the class sizes are fairly small, so your child will learn the fundamentals of performing arts, including vocal performance, dance basics, and general performance technique through plenty of one-on-one attention throughout the course of the week. Kids will work on learning melodies, lyrics and delivery of different songs from popular hits from artists like Katy Perry, Bruno Mars and some blasts from the past including the Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys.
Camp will run from 11 am to 2 pm during July 18-22, with a showcase on Saturday July 23rd for all your young performers’ friends and family!
The Rockit Kids Camp will take place at the Evergreen Community Spaces, in Mayland Heights (1709 8th Ave NE), and the cost is $250 per child with a 10% discount for additional siblings and all students currently enrolled in the Rockit Kids Program.
