As a result of operational restrictions related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, start-up processes for Sikome Aquatic Facility were put on hold this spring. These processes, which take a minimum of 8 weeks, make opening for summer 2021 infeasible. As a result, Sikome Aquatic Facility will remain closed for summer 2021.
Sikome Lake is a definite must-go family fun destination for the summer. It is a man-made lake located in Fish Creek Provincial Park in the south part of Calgary that is shallow and warm with a sandy bottom and a beach. There are change rooms, playgrounds, and concession stands. Bring your inflatables and enjoy some wading, swimming, and beach play!
Access to Sikome Lake is no longer free (as of the 2016 season). Day and season passes are now available and will be sold at both the south and north gates. Fees are as follows:
