Indoor Trick-or-Treating: Halloween at Calgary’s Malls

Trick or Treating Calgary Malls (Family Fun Calgary)

Halloween means trick-or-treating and CANDY for all those excited kids! Local malls in the Calgary area often offer indoor trick-or-treating, and it’s a great alternative for younger children. And, of course, Calgary weather being what it is, it’s especially pleasant if you don’t want to brave an exceptionally cold evening outside!

October 31, 2019 Trick-or-Treating:

North Hill Centre is offering Halloween Trick or Treat from 4 – 5 pm.

Chinook Centre has no planned events for Halloween, but some retailers may be giving out treats.

Marlborough Mall is hosting their trick-or-treating from 2 – 6 pm on the 31st and will also have a magic show from 6 – 7 pm at the Play Park. You can also join the Day of the Dead celebrations on October 26, 2019.

Westbrook Mall is not hosting an official trick-or-treating event but some stores may give out treats. On October 26, 2019, you can enjoy a Halloween Party at Westbrook Mall.

Cross Iron Mills does not host any Halloween activities in the mall. Some of the retailers do give out candy, but it’s optional. Bass Pro Shops is celebrating the Great Pumpkin event on select October days and includes trick-or-treating on Halloween.

Cabela’s, at Deerfoot City, will be hosting Halloween activities on select days in October, including trick-or-treating on Halloween.

Market Mall will not be hosting trick-or-treating this year, but the Disney Store has a Haunted Halloween Party on the Saturdays before Halloween.

2018

Sunridge Mall is having a Halloween event that consists of two shows: 12 – 2 pm and 4 – 6 pm. At that time there will be face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon artists, magic shows and a photo booth from 3:30 – 6 pm. T&T Honda is proudly sponsoring the candy and will be giving out candy just behind Centre Court starting from 4:30 and continuing until supplies run out!

Southcentre Mall has trick-or-treating starting at 5 – 7 pm, while supplies last, at participating retailers. The Disney Store has a Haunted Halloween Party on the Saturdays before Halloween. Plus, if you’re looking for a sensory-friendly Halloween, they have a registered event that runs on October 28, 2018. Click here for more details.

Northland Village Mall has no planned trick-or-treat event for this year. It will be up to each individual retailer if they wish to hand out candy.
