Skating

The first step to enjoying winter in Canada is getting comfortable on the ice with skating lessons at WinSport! No matter how old you are, it’s never too late to learn how to skate. WinSport has Learn to Skate programs for all ages. Ages 2 – 5 years can join the Preschool Learn to Skate, while kids ages 6 – 12 will be in Youth Learn to Skate. There is also a program for ages 13 – 17 in Teen Learn to Skate and even adults can join the fun for the Adult Learn to Skate or Adult Conditioning Skate. All skaters will learn valuable skills in a fun, supportive environment.

Hockey

Once they know how to skate, some kids just want a stick in their hands. Kids from ages 4 – 12 can join Discover Hockey this fall and learn the fundamentals of Canada’s favourite sport. No previous hockey experience is required and kids will work on skating skills, puck control, and shooting techniques. Development Hockey, for ages 5 – 8, will take those skills to the next level, for kids who have played hockey before. They will keep working on skating skills, puck control, shooting, and individual tactics. Kids ages 5 – 12 can also join the Power Skating class to work on a strong skating foundation by improving technique and increasing speed and power. This program is suitable for both hockey and ringette players. And if Mom or Dad want to hit the ice, they can check out Adult Discover Hockey or Women’s Discover Hockey!
