Do you have kids who love to be active? (Or need to be active?!) Do you have kids who are homeschooled or in modified programs or too young for full-time school? Do your kids have days off school or free time in the evenings or on weekends? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then you’ll want to check out WinSport’s Canada’s Olympic Park! They have daytime, evening, and weekend programs that have been carefully designed to bring out the best in kids and youth.
WinSport believes in building the skills to enjoy sport, from picking yourself up after you fall to gaining mastery in whatever you choose to pursue. Sport can help kids build confidence, learn perseverance, and develop amazing friendships with like-minded people. Whether your family would like to build skills mountain biking, you’re looking for outdoor programs for your kids, or you need to challenge your teenagers, WinSport will get you moving safely.
Some of the most popular spring lessons and programs at WinSport revolve around mountain biking. Before you know it, the ground will be warming up, the leaves will be coming out, and your kids can hit the dirt trails and the technical climbs in registered mountain biking programs. WinSport will keep you rolling with mountain bike lessons, private lessons, or family group lessons, so you can get a head start on a terrific summer activity. Kids as young as 4 can enjoy the private lessons and private lessons can also be adjusted to accommodate a whole family, giving specific coaching just where it’s needed. The group lessons for the mountain biking program offer instruction for kids ages 6 and up and even adults can get in on their own lessons.
If you have young explorers from ages 3 – 11 years, they can head outside for an outdoor adventure program this spring at WinSport. Wilderness Explorers invites children as young as age 3 to explore and discover the natural environment and deepen their connection to nature. The educators support your child by providing guidance, asking questions, and telling stories. Some activities will be guided such as using tools, climbing trees and more. Kids from 7 – 11 years can learn Wilderness Survival Skills, and spend time playing outside, taking risks in a supportive and constructive way. They will be introduced to camp craft skills like shelter building and fire building.
Looking for more? If you have youth pursuing freestyle skiing or snowboarding, they can start their off-season training, and young athletes can also check out the Junior Athlete Development Program or the Sport Performance Camp.
No matter what you choose, it’s time to shake off winter and challenge yourself. Learn new mountain bike skills and refine the ones you have. Stay active and reduce stress. It doesn’t matter why you ride and play — it’s time to get moving at WinSport! Registration is now open online.
