Family Day at the Legislature

🆓 All Weekend | Celebrating its 36th year, the Silver Skate Festival is Edmonton’s longest-running outdoor winter festival! Family Fun Day Sunday at Greenland Garden Centre

Kids Can Catch: Free Ice Fishing Fun
🆓 February 14 & 15 | Join the Alberta Conservation Association over Family Day weekend for the Kids Can Catch program in either Pigeon Lake, Wabamun Lake or Onoway! Fishing mentors will be available to teach ice-fishing basics during this exciting afternoon which will also include complimentary snacks and refreshments. (Advance registration required.)
Barnebirkie Family Ski
February 15 | If you love cross-country skiing, don’t miss the Barnebirkie Family Ski at Gold Bar Park. Register your family now and get ready for a fun day of skiing, snacks, and refreshments, and hand-made birch wood medals to mark your achievement! Viking costumes are strongly encouraged, and there will be prizes for the best costume.
Faamii Zhoor
February 15 | Celebrate Faamii Zhoor (Family Day in Michif) with IAM Collective at the Metis District 9 offices for Metis-themed family fun. This event for children ages 3-12 features Metis storytelling, songs and dances, crafts, lunch and more!
Family Day Fireworks in Meadowlark
February 15 | Enjoy winter fun at the 25th annual Family Day Fireworks Celebration in Meadowlark. It all kicks off at 4:00 PM with horse-drawn sleigh rides, skating, crafts, fire pits, and a fireworks show at 7:00 PM!
Sweet Treats & Latte Festival
All Weekend | Celebrate by treating your loved ones to specialty baked goodies and lattes from various coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants in Old Strathcona. There are even dog-friendly treats at some locations, so no family members feel left out!
Family Day Carnival at Rogers Riding Academy
February 16 | Enjoy a Family Day Carnival at Rogers Riding Academy! Bring your family for a fun-filled day featuring carnival games, a bouncy castle, pony rides, a concession stand, and prizes. All proceeds support the Rogers Riding Academy’s international team.
Prehistoric Paradise Family Day at Muttart
February 16 | Bring the family to the Muttart Conservatory this Family Day and explore the Prehistoric Paradise feature pyramid! The kids will love the airbrush tattoos, crafts and sensory activities, a roaming magician, and more. General admission applies.
Family Day Skate at Silent Ice Center
February 16 | Take part in the festivities at the Family Day Skate at Silent Ice Center! There will be skating, a chance to meet characters on the ice, hot chocolate, coffee, treats, and lots of fun activities off the ice too.
St. Albert Fire & Ice Festival
🆓 February 16 | Be at Lacombe Lake Park on Family Day for the St. Albert Fire and Ice Festival, hosted by the St. Albert Firefighters Local 2130. Enjoy family-fun activities and entertainment, including a firefighter obstacle course for kids, petting zoo, crafts from Home Depot, sleigh rides, skating, maple taffy, ice carving, fire dancers, food and refreshments, and of course, fire trucks!
Edmonton Oil Kings Scooby Doo Family Day
