Historic Properties is hosting ‘Safe Halloween’, where families can enjoy activities and receive candy in a safe and fun environment.
Visit the Annual Family Halloween Party at the Museum of Natural History. This is a favourite Halloween event for the whole family! Admission is FREE with a donation to FEED Nova Scotia.
Enjoy free candy, ghoulish games and giveaways followed by Fireworks at the Dartmouth Crossing Halloween Party. This one is coming soon on Saturday, October 12th.
The Harvest Moon Festival will take over the Historic Properties Mall from October 10th – 31st.
This year, the Halloween party is all weekend long at the Discovery Centre. Come in costume for tons of spooky games and activities!
At Michael’s Kids Club®, kids 3 and up can make their own crafts. Join them Saturdays in October for special Halloween themed crafts! Sign up in-store or just drop in. Every Saturday, leading up to Halloween.
For a spooky trip out of town, go to the Annapolis Royal Ghost Town Festival to see the whole town decorated with friendly ghouls! Don’t miss the famous, and highly acclaimed Candlelight Graveyard Tour.
Bring your little ghosts and goblins to the Sunnyside Mall for their annual Halloween Party! Enjoy a monster bash with mascots, crafts, a pumpkin bouncy castle and more!

Halloween Spooktacular Weekend – fun for the whole family in Porters Lake… movie and pizza night, family Halloween party and Zombie Nerf Night
Dress up in your favourite costume and join in the Halloween fun with a costume parade and craft.
The annual, one night only, Haunted House at MSVU “Boo”niversity is a spooktacular scene. Check them out Saturday, October 26th. A less spooky version for the wee ones happens during the first hour, starting at 6pm.
Haunted Churchill House in Hantsport is a heritage property with a terrifying twist. Dare to be scared! They also host a (not so scary) children’s event for the wee ones!
The terrifying Bloodfields at Riverbreeze Farm, near Truro is worth a visit if you like being scared. Think a convincingly creepy backstory, live actors and buckets of blood and gore. This year there are 4 haunted houses and 2 haunted mazes!
The 2019 haunt in the barn across from Stirling’s Farm market is billed to be the best yet! Warning: this haunted house is not suitable for young children or the faint of heart.
In the woods behind Hammonds Plains, visit Haunted Hollow– a horrifying woodland walk!
Splash Adventure has transformed from a Family Fun Park to a Carnival of Terror this Halloween! If you are feeling brave, visit their two haunted houses – the Haunted Manor and the Haunted Castle, with a scary carnival theme.
A party just for grown-up ghouls and boys – music, bar, hands-on experiments, a theatre experience and entrance to all the exhibits! This is a 19+ event.
Leave the little Ghouls at home and enjoy a spooky parents night out at the Hatfield Farm, Halloween Costume Party. This is a 19+ event.

Join a Halifax Citadel Ghost Walk, Friday or Saturday evenings until the end of October.
The Halifax Ghost Walk meets at the Old Town Clock on Citadel Hill on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings until October 13th.
