Did you know Saskatoon has an Elf School? Saskatoon Fun is back at Lawson Heights with the perfect Christmas activity. We went to Elf School the other night and my little one loved it! He had so much fun exploring all the areas. Each group went to a different spot and it was easy and efficient to move from one section to the other. I’m so glad we got to do this because it was fun and stress-free. All the Elves were so sweet to my little boy.

Story & Song with Mrs. Claus

Our first stop was a visit with Mrs. Claus. She read three stories to the kids and asked them about Christmas plans. The kids really loved the stories and all the Christmas Trees with unique decorations. My son liked the hot rod Christmas tree and was making plans to decorate ours with cars when we got home. He was really excited when Mrs. Claus started reading The Night Before Christmas and whispered to me, “This is the one with the skeleton!” He was disappointed when he found out it was not The Nightmare Before Christmas but he still enjoyed it.

We went to see Santa next. They included an area to write a note to Santa and mail it. My sweet son got me to write for him and he made sure to ask Santa to give his mom some extra help because I do so much for him. He was very sweet. He also asked for a kitty cat. We will see which wish comes true. Santa was very sweet and let my son talk his ear off.

They had a few more areas to take photos. My son now uses his crooked smile. He’s convinced it’s a handsome face he’s making. So every ‘posed’ photo I take ends up with his crooked face. We still enjoyed the chance to get some festive photos.

Our next stop was figuring out my son’s Elf name. Sprinkles Gumdrop was the result and from there we went to the decoration station and he had so much fun making himself a sparkly snowflake with his friend Sprinkles the Elf. They shared a name AND a love of sprinkles. He ended up with a beautiful and glitter-filled snowflake.

Christmas Cookie Decoration

Decorating cookies was another hit with my son. He decorated the cookie to save it for later but also enjoyed eating the decorations. We ended up leaving with a lot of things and it was a fun balancing act with my tired toddler but we handled it. He couldn’t wait to get home and eat his cookie for a bedtime snack.

We had so much fun, and my son is now a proud graduate of Elf School. It was a great night with tons of activities for my son and he left with a huge smile on his face. Once again, big thanks to Saskatoon Fun for their events and to Lawson Heights Mall for holding them! We even got a bit of Christmas shopping done after graduation.
