Escape from the hustle and bustle to experience a Heritage Christmas the way the Stewarts did at the Historic Stewart Farm! A Victorian Christmas was a magical time filled with homemade gifts and decorations, parlour games with friends and cherished time with family. Grab your family and friends for a different holiday theme each weekend.  Discover everything from the types of decorations Victorians made to the reason we still hang stockings on the mantle. Be sure to tour the festive Victorian farmhouse with traditional decorations, or take a brisk walk around the grounds and Elgin Heritage Park to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

This event is FREE and makes the perfect holiday outing for the whole family. Since each weekend is a different theme, you will learn something new each time you visit.

Dec 3&4: Deck the Halls.  Make your own traditional paper ornament and learn about the types of homemade decorations Victorians made for the holidays.

Dec. 11: Homemade Holidays. Make your own heritage paper toy, discover why we hang stockings and learn about the types of gifts that would have been found under a Victorian Christmas Tree.

Dec. 17&18: Let’s Celebrate! Christmas is almost here and the best part is the joy and merrymaking. Try your hand at some parlour games and learn how the Stewarts celebrated Christmas.

But wait, there’s more! A Victorian Christmas Evening is happening on December 10th from 3:00pm-7:00pm. Sing carols as you stroll through the park, grab a picture with Father Christmas and enjoy a FREE evening of music, treats and crafts.
