For years families have loved the CP Holiday Train as it travelled across Canada bringing FREE live entertainment, stunningly decorated train cars, while collecting donations for local food banks. Thanks to COVID the CP Holiday Train is virtual again in 2021. BUT the CP Holiday Train at Home is bringing together one heck of a line up of entertainers for their virtual concert.
Steven Page, The Strumbellas, The Trews, Sierra Noble, Odds, Tanika Charles, Aysanabee, and Keb’ Mo’ are all taking part in the Holiday Train at Home Concert. You can watch the concert on Facebook, YouTube and the CPR website.
CP will donate $1.24 million this year to 198 food banks in communities that ordinarily host CP Holiday Train events. In a normal year, CP calls on attendees at local shows to make a cash or non-perishable food donation. Viewers seeking to donate will be directed to Food Banks Canada and Feeding America, the national organizations that support community food banks in their respective countries. Viewers are also encouraged to give to their local food bank.
