Nothing screams Fall like a big ole’ pumpkins and corn mazes. I love taking the kids out to the pumpkin patch & winding our way through the mile-high corn fields.  There are oodles of options across the Lower Mainland.  Here are our top picks for 2017. Be warned, due to the very warm summer the pumpkins are ready now. It could be challenging finding a pumpkin come the end of October!

Apple Barn Pumpkin Farm

While venturing out to pick up a pumpkin, spend the day with kids and enjoy the Corn Quest Maze, Bunny Town, a Jumping Pillow, Bouncy Barn, Tractor Trail and more at the Taves Family Farm.

Maan Farms

Visit a corn maze, check out the play area, petting zoo & adventure zone (bouncy pillow, zipline, pedal cart racetrack & playfort with tire swings). Be sure to hop on a wagon ride and explore the pumpkin fields. From August to October Maan Farms offers a day-time family-friendly corn maze. In the evenings the Flashlight Corn Maze (October) is a family-fun must-do event. For the thrill seekers, don’t miss the Haunted Corn Maze (October) full of classic fright creatures guaranteed to make you scream and have your heart racing.

Roadside Harvest Social

Now this is an event for the whole family…moms, dads, kids & pets! Watch out parents…there is a beer-tasting corn maze! Kids have their own corn maze too. Food trucks are on hand and the pets are allowed to tag along.

Willow View Farms

A truly charming country farm with endless pumpkin varities, an apple orchard, a petting barn & wagon rides. Pack a picnic, enjoy the kids’ play area, soak up the sunshine and the fresh air. ** Please note that on August 23rd, 2017 Willow View Farms experienced a fire that destroyed their Country Store. As such there is no access to the yard, playground or animal barn at this time. However the field are still open for picking and you can visit the goats and sheep in their outside pasture.

Chilliwack Corn Maze

There are more than 15 varieties of pumpkins growing at the Chilliwack Corn Maze this year. Have fun on the pedal cars, watching duck races, exploring the indoor hay bale maze and riding the corn train.

Petey’s Pumpkin Patch

Petey’s Pumpkin Patch is heaps of fun!  Come check out the fun maze, family fun zone with bouncy rides including Petey the giant pumpkin, and also the train or wagon ride out to the pumpkin patches.  There is 5,000 square feet of indoor activities!  Admission is $8 per person or $25 for a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 kids).

Westham Island Herb Farm

Take a tour of this pretty farm and visit the donkeys, goats and their Scottish highland steer. Get a pint sized fright at the haunted house geared for little ones. Walk along the garden path to the u-pick pumpkin patch and see how veggies are grown. There are bushels of organically grown veggies for purchase on your way out including carrots, beets, potatoes, onions and more. A one stop shop for Thanksgiving dinner! Finish your visit off with a hot cup of cocoa and cookies. Be sure to stop by the farm the last 10 days of October, you’ll find over 100 Jack O’ Lanterns all lit up every night.

Aldor Acres Pumpkin Patch

Visit the farm animal displays, take a hayride and pick a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch at Eagle Acres.  Don’t forget to visit on November 1st..all the unused pumpkins are given to the cows for the annual pumpkin patch stomp!

Laity Pumpkin Patch

A magical world of gnomes, fairies and dinosaurs is sure to delight little ones at Laity Pumpkin Patch. Stop by Frontier Town to visit the Pumpkin Family and then try your luck panning for gold. A petting zoo, corn maze and a tractor wagon ride are only a few of the attractions you’ll find at this pumpkin patch adventure. For 2017 there are TWO Laity Pumpkin Patches. The new South venue is intended for kids aged 6 years & up. The original, or North venue, is intended for kids aged 6 years and under.

Richmond Country Farms

Sing-along hayrides, costume performers and a corn maze. Visitors to Richmond Country Farms enjoy many costumed entertainers including Polly Pumpkin, Strawberry Shortcake and Korny Corn. Music is supplied by the farm band and many talented wagon entertainers. Pumpkin pickers ride hay wagons past the duck ponds and waterfalls to the fields. The farm is ornamented with corn stocks, sunflowers whimsical decorations and almost authentic buildings relocated from Transylvania. At the end of the ride visitors can enjoy a fresh BC grown Spartan apple.

Port Kells Nurseries

The pumpkin patch and all the activities are FREE at Port Kells Nurseries. Enjoy hay rides, the chicken coop, the haunted house, goat palace and hay maze. You only have to pay if you want to take home a pumpkin or have your face painted.
