Ready for a vintage holiday celebration? It’s Heritage Christmas at Burnaby Village Museum! Stroll through the streets of the Village to see wreaths, cedar swags and vintage-themed displays will. At the bandstand, visitors can create their own magical holiday show with lights that change colours to sound.
Special entertainment is scheduled throughout the season including theatre performances, community choirs, street characters and musicians. Many family-favourite activities are back including a craft for children, baking in the Farmhouse and, of course, visits with Father Christmas.
Admission is free; carousel rides are $2.65 each.
A great way to fully explore Heritage Christmas at Burnaby Village Museum is to take on the challenge of the Twelve Days of Christmas scavenger hunt. The clues are the words to the famous holiday song and the answers are sure to surprise and delight. Free scavenger hunt cards are available at the gates and at the Ice Cream Parlour.
December 1, 2018 (4pm – 9pm): A special evening in support of the Burnaby Christmas Bureau: tree lighting ceremony and light refreshments at 6pm. Proceeds from carousel tickets purchased between 4-9pm will be donated to the Bureau. In 2017, the revenue from carousel tickets was $2,199.96. Concord Pacific matched this amount making the total donation to the Burnaby Christmas Bureau almost $4,400. Let’s see if even more can be raised in 2018!
