At Family Fun Vancouver, we’re all about great events and attractions that you can do as a family with your kids. But the adults in the house deserve to have fun, too, and it’s all too easy to slip into the familiar routine of going out for dinner on your one night away from the kids…where you will inevitably spend the evening talking about kids, work, and life.
This year, plan a date night where curiosity reigns, and you can explore, play, and have fun. Science World After Dark nights are the place to be for the 19+ crowd who want to participate in the amazing interactive exhibits and displays Science World offers, without having to jump in front of a long line of kids!
What makes Science World After Dark events so much fun? Each one has a different theme, and each new theme includes performances and science shows specifically tailored to the theme. After Dark events also sell liquor, so visitors can stroll through the exhibits with their beverage of choice and grab a bite to eat from the concession or Triple O’s if they get hungry. There are also specialty-themed shows during the events, and pop-up activations around the exhibits that align with the theme.
Upcoming After Dark events:
- July 23: Sparks & Rec – Outdoor Edition!
- September 2: Science of Sleight – Magic Edition
- October 30: Sinister Science: Halloween Edition
- December 9: Press Start for Science – Video Game Edition
Know Before You Go:

- Tickets can be purchased in advance at Science World or at the door if spaces remain.
- Science shows and performances are roughly every 30 minutes on the main stage.
