Grab the kids and your skates and head out for some active family fun this February! The Shipyards Skate Plaza in North Vancouver is the largest outdoor skating rink in the region and is set against the beautiful backdrop of downtown Vancouver and the North Shore mountains. Until the end of February, they offer daily skating from 1 – 8 pm, as well as free helmets and skate aides. You can rent skates (limited quantities) and those with their own skates skate for free.

The Skate Plaza is very popular, and capacity is currently capped at 50% to meet health and safety protocols. Be prepared for longer wait times on evenings and weekends and don’t forget that masks are mandatory on the ice. Snowfall may require brief closures of the ice for snow clearing or a full closure of the ice – get the latest updates on Facebook.
