Cold Cut – Calgary’s Canadian Ice Carving Championship

There are two Calgary Farmers’ Market locations, one in south Calgary and one in the west. Cold Cut is coming to both locations from February 20 – 22, 2026. This special winter event will bring together top ice carvers to compete all weekend, and the days will be filled with events families love! The carving takes place from 9 AM – 5 PM, and event activities are from 12 – 5 PM.

Come on Friday for a sneak peek of the ice block setup, and then come back for the main event on Saturday and Sunday! You’re invited to watch live carving and check out the incredible ice sculptures. Leave time to enjoy outdoor fire pits, live music, and s’mores and maple taffy. Head inside with the Warm-Up Passport and collect stamps from participating vendors offering exclusive event specials. Then, enter your completed passport into a draw for a curated Warm-Up Prize Pack filled with goodies from the market!
