This summer, let your kids go a little mad… for learning and fun! Mad Science® of Southern Alberta is part of the Mad Science® Group and has been sparking imaginative learning in Calgary for 20 years. They are proud to hold multiple Parents Choice awards for Best Children’s Entertainment and Best Summer Day Camps.

What’s So Great About Mad Science® Camps?

  • There are new camps created each and every year!
  • The camps are highly structured with both organized activities and play time.
  • Each camp is led by a team of professional Mad Scientists who have lots of experience working with children and always hold up-to-date security clearances.
  • Children will be “Edutained” for the day. They will have so much fun that they won’t even realize how much they are learning about their world and how it works!!
  • Mad Science® camps are offered in lots of locations across Calgary, including Edgemont, Arbour Lake, Glamorgan, Canyon Meadows and McKenzie Lake.

 

For summer 2016, there are four awesome Mad Science® camps to choose from:

Red Hot Robots

This full day camp is for children entering Grades 2 – 6. Campers will learn all about robots, while building 2 different robots that they get to take home at the end of camp!

Brixology with LEGO® Bricks

This full day camp is for children entering Grades 1 – 5. Campers will explore Aerospace, Bio-Mimicry, Machines, Vehicles, Boats, Carnival Rides and more – all while building, testing and improving the creations they make, with the assistance of their instructors. Each day, campers will take home a unique Mad Science® project relevant to the day’s activities, many of which are LEGO®-compatible.

Little Inventors*

This ½ day morning camp is for children entering Kindergarten – Grade 2. Campers will take a journey through the times as they explore the inventions and findings of Leonardo Da Vinci, Alexander Graham Bell, the Wright Brothers and others. Campers will make catapults, rockets, circuit mazes and more.

Mini Mad Lab*

This ½ day afternoon camp is for children entering Kindergarten – Grade 2. Campers will explore the world of Bugs, Bubbling Potions, Animals, Optical Illusions and Chemistry. Campers will make Bug Eyes, Animal Tracks, Periscopes and more.

* Children who register in both ½ day camps during the same week receive lunch supervision, including outdoor play time (weather permitting).
