Founded in 1972, Calgary Opera connects people, through the magic of opera, to themselves, to each other, and to the community.
They have established a reputation as a company dedicated to nurturing Canadian talent and creating new opera works, while also making opera accessible to all ages in the community on a broader scale. They bring opera to younger audiences through school tours in Calgary and northern/southern Alberta. They occasionally host family events, which you can find here. And at Christmas, you’ll often find a special family Christmas production, as well.
