Did you know that Calgary Reads offers a house-sized storybook game for the whole family? Calgary Reads strives to create a vibrant reading community for Calgary’s children and now you can book an engaging, interactive game at their Little Red Reading House from Thursdays to Sundays.
In Who Took My Book? families move room to room, reading a story and solving simple puzzles, to discover who took an owl’s favourite book. Puzzle difficulty is suited to children playing with adult assistance, or preteens playing on their own, and families get the whole house to themselves for an hour and 15 minutes, the time it takes to play the game. Just call or email to book!
Do you just want to book a visit? You can do that, too! It only costs $10 per family and visits are 1 hour and 15 minutes.
You can spend your time at Little Red Reading House any way you like! Children can find a cozy nook to curl up in and read independently, or enjoy a story read aloud by their adult, or the House Hosts. At the end of your visit, each child can choose a free book to take home and keep.
