Does your teen love movies? Then let them learn what the filmmaking process is all about by signing them up for the Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers summer camps! 2017 marks the 25th anniversary of their camps that focus on learning skills in Media Arts and many participants over the years have gone on to establish careers in the film industry! These camps will introduce youth to the process of how movies are made, from script to screen. Through collaborative workshops and an intensive, hands-on introduction to the art of film production, the participants will write, direct, shoot, and edit their own film! Upon completion of the five day camp, the students’ film will be premiered at a gala screening at the Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers where participants, their friends and family and the public are invited to attend!
There are three sessions of the Media Arts camps that run during the summer and they are based on age. All camp sessions cost $320 and run from 9am- 5pm daily. Spaces are limited so don’t miss out–sign up today!
