It’s time to head outside this summer! Do you have kids who need to move and love to explore? Are they curious about nature? Fish Creek summer day camps, hosted by the Friends of Fish Creek Provincial Park Society, are the perfect summer camps for kids interested in plants, water, and wildlife.
Fish Creek day camps aren’t just a fun place for your kids to hang out during the summer (although that’s true, too!). They are designed to inspire youth to care for and protect Fish Creek Provincial Park. As kids engage in environmental education, meaningful stewardship experiences, and explore the outdoors, they will develop curiosity about the world in which they live. The goal is to foster a lifelong connection to nature and cultivate a sense of responsibility for our beautiful world.
Summer Camps
Fish Creek summer day camps are available during July and August for kids aged 6 – 12. They meet at the Fish Creek Environmental Learning Centre in the Shannon Terrace Day Use area in Fish Creek Provincial Park. Camps run from 9 AM to 4 PM. Optional extended drop-off and pick-up hours are available for a small additional charge, beginning at 8:30 AM and ending at 4:30 PM.
These nature-based camps offer a first-hand experience of what makes Fish Creek Provincial Park so special. Campers will head out on creek walks and discover new animals and creatures while they engage their curiosity, build confidence, and care for the natural world. From quiet moments observing nature to giggling during games with new friends, experienced leaders guide campers through the day.

Camps are divided according to age, and camp weeks vary.
Explorers | Ages 6 – 8

Adventurers | Ages 9 – 10
July 13 – 17, August 4 – 7, and August 24 – 28, 2026
Trailblazers | Ages 11 – 12
July 20 – 24 and August 10 – 14, 2026
Your young biologists, explorers, and nature lovers will thrive during a summer of connection to the natural world. Registration for Fish Creek camps opens March 19, 2026. Register soon and plan on days of muddy boots, magnifying glasses, and marvellous discoveries!
