September 30th is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. Both days are intended to honour the children who never returned home and survivors of residential schools, as well as to recognize the inter-generational impacts of residential schools on individuals, families, and communities.

You can mark Orange Shirt Day at Fort Calgary, with a variety of free programming all day. Enjoy free museum admission, two walking tours, family-friendly crafts, and an after-hours screening of the film Bones of Crows with guest speaker Michelle Thrush.
