These kids are bursting with ideas, passion, and creativity. It’s a perceptive parent who provides the opportunities for their child’s growth and independence. Ten Peaks summer camps focus on these opportunities, guiding kids through real-life issues and into practical solutions.
Ten Peaks is a group of “entrepreneurs, innovators, change-makers, conversationalists, educators, and big thinkers” who strive to inspire and educate Alberta’s youth as our future leaders. They work to equip students to innovate and learn about technology, sustainability, and entrepreneurship as it relates to energy, agriculture, the environment, and Alberta’s future.
Ten Peaks Robotics Summer Camps
Did you know Alberta has the highest level of food scarcity in the country? Do you have kids ages 12 – 15 years? It’s time for them to bring their energy and big ideas to a Ten Peaks summer camp they won’t forget! Bot Basics and Beyond: Innovate and Apply Solutions to Food Scarcity and Insecurity is a summer camp like no other. Here, kids will get their “tech on” and turn their minds to the real-world problem of food scarcity.
In this hands-on STEM camp, kids will learn about concepts behind sustainability, ag and agri-food technologies, automation, and design thinking. They will be introduced to SMART farming concepts and hear from experts in the field, as they code and design a robotic solution to food scarcity. Three guest speakers will offer their insight on agri-tech, robotics, and sustainability practices used today in the real world. Campers will work in teams with like-minded kids, using a proprietary curriculum developed by an award-winning teacher. What makes this camp different from other STEM robotics camps? Campers will be introduced to sustainability and real-world entrepreneurs. Your kids will thrive as their ideas and work are validated to help ensure people don’t go hungry!
This camp is only available over two weeks this summer, July 28 – August 1, 2025, at the U of C Innovation Hub and August 11 – 15, 2025, at Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School. Pack a lunch, but snacks are provided and register soon, as camps are limited to 20 campers each.
