February means it’s time for a winter break! It can be nice to have an extra-long weekend when the kids have bonus days off before the Family Day weekend, but it can also be hard to juggle schedules if Mom and Dad still have to work. But now you can give your kids an educational adventure to add some excitement to their February and give yourself peace of mind, knowing your kids are happy and safe while they’re off school. There will be no such thing as the February blues when you sign your kids up for a February Day Camp at Heritage Park!

Heritage Park is one of Calgary’s top tourist attractions, filled with nearly 100 years of history. While the Historical Village is only open during the summer, the Park itself is open all year long so families can visit the Gasoline Alley Museum, enjoy a special event or a meal, or stop for a coffee and a sweet treat at the Railway Café. But it’s even better when the kids get to discover our fascinating world themselves!

The Heritage Park Discovery Camps in February are designed with curious kids in mind. On February 15 and 16, 2024, kids ages 6 – 11 years can join a day camp on one or both days. Kids will join others in their age group (camps are divided for ages 6 – 7 and ages 8 – 11) for an educational adventure. With a different theme each day, kids will enjoy a variety of crafts, experiments, games, and activities.

On February 15, 2024, kids will explore nature, with It’s All Around Us! The day will be all about discovering weather, seasons, animal life cycles, and more. February 16, 2024, is a journey through time to learn about inventions and the science behind them with Innovations and Inventions. The Heritage Park February camps cost $75 per camper, and if you sign the kids up for both days, you’ll receive 10% off. Camps run from 9 am – 4 pm, but you can drop kids off as early as 8 am and pick them up as late as 5 pm.
