What’s happening in February? So much family fun! Valentine’s Day and Family Day Weekend usually bring plenty of special events to Calgary, plus there’s a nice lo-o-o-ng weekend off school. Brighten up your nights with the Chinook Blast Winter Festival on select days February 2 – 19, 2024. Chinook Blast will be heating up our city with a celebration of community, culture, and civic pride. Make a plan to check out Calgary’s art, music, theatre, sport, and recreation, and embrace the season with your family!
Join the Chinese Cultural Centre as they celebrate the Lunar New Year. On February 3 – 4 and 10 – 11, 2024, find multicultural performances, a vibrant vendor market, dragon and lion dances, art exhibitions, and more — all with free admission for the entire community.
Stay warm and catch dinner and a show with Jubilations Junior Dinner Theatre, because it’s Beach Barbie’s Birthday Bash! Every Saturday in February (and the Sunday of Family Day Weekend), they bring you the perfect opportunity to laugh and create warm memories with your kids.
If you’re looking for sports, the Calgary Hitmen are bringing you Sunday Funday on February 4 and 25, 2024. Come early and check out the concourse activities and enjoy special food and beverage pricing. Plus, there will be in-game family entertainment.
On select weekend days this month, take your teens to see a classic movie, with Films at the Fort.
Head to Heritage Park with the little ones for Storytime every Wednesday morning. You’ll enjoy your favourite stories at your favourite places! An experienced storyteller will escort you to the Story Time Location.
