Eating out is one of life’s pleasures, but when you’ve got extra mouths to feed, restaurant meals can get very expensive, very quickly. Thankfully, some restaurants in town offer deals for kids on certain days! As a rule, enjoying a free kid’s meal requires the purchase of an adult meal. Here’s our round-up of when and where kids can eat for free (or cheap) in Calgary.

Sunday, All Day | The kids’ menu is half price on Sundays.
Boston Pizza
Every Fall, with Kids’ Card | Once a year (usually in the fall), you can purchase a Kids’ Card for five dollars and then get five kids’ meals out of the deal.
Denny’s
Tuesdays & Sundays, 4 – 10 pm | For every adult entree ordered from the general menu, up to two kids under 10 can eat free from the Kids’ Menu. Special note: On Family Night Wednesdays, you’ll get 50% off select Family Night menu items when you buy an item of equal or greater value.
East Side Mario’s
Tuesdays, All Day | Kids 10 and under eat free with the purchase of any adult entree $19.99 or more. Kids 10 and under can also join the Mini Mario Club. After signing up, you’ll receive a membership card with 5 FREE kids’ meals and 5 FREE Chillers. These can be redeemed with the purchase of an adult entree priced at $19.99 or more.
IHOP
Wednesday & Thursday, All Day | Kids eat free at IHOP two days a week! Kids 12 and under will receive one free kids’ entree with each adult entree purchased.
IKEA
Wednesdays, All Day for Family Members | Kids’ meals are free on Wednesdays for IKEA Family Members. (And it’s free to become a Family Member.) Receive one free kid’s meal for every adult meal purchased.
Pacini Calgary South
Sunday, All Day | Kids under 12 can eat free at Pacini Calgary South on Sundays. (Note: this is only for the South location.) One kid’s meal per adult entree.
Phil’s Restaurants in Calgary
Every Day, All Day | Kids eight years old and under receive complimentary dollar-size pancakes when dining with their parents.
Pomeroy Kananaskis
Every Day, All Day | So the Pomeroy Kananaskis Lodge isn’t in Calgary, but if you’re in the mountains, kids under 6 eat free at the Lodge.
Smitty’s Sage Hill
Tuesdays, After 5 PM | Kids eat free at this Smitty’s location with the purchase of an adult entree. (Note: this may be a seasonal promotion, so always check ahead to avoid disappointment.)
Swiss Chalet
Wednesdays, All Day | Get a free kid’s meal with the purchase of an adult entree at Swiss Chalet. This deal is valid for kids ages 10 and under.
Wok Box
Saturday & Sunday, All Day | Kids eat free on Saturday and Sunday at Wok Box. Get one free kids’ meal with the purchase of a regular box.
