Lake Louise’s Ice Magic Festival offers you the sublime experience of walking through a winter wonderland and witnessing the making of some amazing ice and snow art. The first 3 days feature the International Ice Carving Competition and then you’ll enjoy fun winter activities, and of course, the chance to see the completed sculptures.
Tickets are required on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 5:30 pm, which are peak viewing times, for the purpose of crowd control and providing an excellent viewing environment. Take time to admire the spectacular sculptures and marvel at the talented carvers. Tickets go on sale on December 21, 2021, at 10 am and kids 11 and under are free, but must be on your reservation.
Parking is limited and shuttle buses will be available from the Lake Louise Park and Ride to the Chateau Lake Louise on the weekends. Plan for a 3-hour experience from the time you board the shuttle.
If you don’t make it to Lake Louise in time for the festival, you might like to know that the sculptures stay and can be viewed for free from January 30, 2022, until they melt!
