There’s nothing like getting your kids involved in fun, kid-friendly programs that teach real-life skills! Kids love to eat and they often have a fascination with adult activities, so this fall, get your kids cooking! Nini’s Cooking Class has a variety of programs that will appeal to any palate and will teach kids everything they need to know for success in the kitchen, from making delicious healthy meals to kitchen safety.
We all love the idea of getting kids into the kitchen and learning how to cook, but sometimes the process can wear out a parent’s patience! Nini’s Cooking Class was created to educate, encourage, and get families excited about getting their own kids cooking, by offering a variety of classes that teach the necessary skills. Chef Nini began her own culinary journey at a young age, from her grandmother, mother, and sisters who attended culinary schools. She continued to strengthen her skills by attending culinary training herself and began to prepare her own signature meals and entertain friends.
Kids who take a Nini’s Cooking Class will cultivate a love of cooking healthy foods and will be prepared to help out at home and make their own school lunches. Sharing food knowledge with kids enables them to create recipes on their own and also has a positive impact on their life-long eating habits.
Beginning September 3, 2022, kids can register for a number of different cooking programs, learning how to work with new equipment and different ingredients. They will learn to make meals while they develop fundamental culinary knowledge. They will learn kitchen and food safety and how to properly handle knives. They’ll discover the whole process of meal preparation, from meal planning to cooking techniques to setting the table. Their artistic side will shine as they try out baking or food presentation. And don’t forget about etiquette and manners!
Fall programs at Nini’s Cooking Class include Sweet and Savoury, Pasta Lovers, and Tasty Dinners. Kids can specialize in All Things Baking or a Taste of AfriCaribbean. There is even a Special Needs Cooking School or a Family Class you can all enjoy. Registration is now open for a season of delicious, practical learning. Kids will love eating the food they prepare – and then preparing it for you at home!
