The Confluence has a rich history as a place of significance for Indigenous Peoples and is where the North West Mounted Police established Fort Calgary in 1875. They occasionally have special events for families.

The Burnswest Theatre at The Confluence is a cozy indie theatre with film screenings of cult classics, family favourites, and hidden gems. Tickets are $12, including a small popcorn and admission to The Confluence Cultural Centre.
