December 31 | Let 2023 Go with a Frozen Sing-Along at Metro Cinema on New Year’s Eve! Fans of all ages can channel their inner snow queen during this special screening of the Disney hit musical where audience singing is encouraged.

New Year’s Eve Early Count Down
December 31 | Get your tickets now to ring in New Year’s Eve with singing, dancing, and a special “champagne” juice toast! This fun family-friendly event will feature a 7 pm Count Down and all the snacks, games, crafts, and fun needed to celebrate the arrival of a New Year with the kids.

The Colour Spectrum New Year’s Eve Celebration
December 31 | Book your spot now for the family-friendly New Year’s Eve Celebration at The Colour Spectrum! Bring the kids for an evening of fun mess-making, painting, indoor sandbox play, music, and a countdown to 2024 at 7:50 pm.

Kid’s New Year Party at LaunchPad
December 31 | Jump into 2024 at Launchpad Trampoline Park! Get together with friends and family and enjoy an evening of neon jumping, music with a live DJ, and extreme family fun! There will be countdowns at 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm so the entire family can ring in the New Year together and the kids won’t feel like they are missing out on any of the late-night fun.

Play All Day at Foam Fighters
December 31 | Kids will have a blast at Foam Fighters Play All Day event at the Southside location! For just $15, your child will have all day access to the NERF Arena, Target Range and Gamers Lounge. Registration required.

Noon Year’s Eve with TELUS World of Science – Edmonton
December 31 & January 1 | Midnight is late. Noon is much more reasonable! Ring in the “NOON” year with TELUS World of Science – Edmonton. Enjoy live science experiments on the Syncrude Science Stage at noon, including the Science Centre’s unique version of fireworks.  (Hint: it involves 12 colorful hydrogen balloons!) Included with your regular Science Centre admission.

New Year’s Eve Downtown Festival & Fireworks
December 31 | The City of Edmonton New Year’s Eve celebration is one of the best ways to ring in 2024! Enjoy your choice of two firework displays at 9:00 pm and midnight, plus a full evening of programming including skating at City Hall plaza, live music, immersive light installations, roving circus acts, bonfires, on-site food trucks, and more.

New Year‘s Eve Celebration in ICE District
December 31 | Celebrate New Year’s Eve with the second annual epic celebration in ICE District Plaza, headlined by Canadian country music star Josh Ross! There will be an Edmonton Oilers live game day watch party at 5:00 pm, followed by a party and concert including Alberta’s own Taylor-Rae, ice carving from Chiseled, and a countdown and fireworks display at midnight! The event is free, but space will be limited.

World Waterpark Family Beach Ball at WEM
December 31 | Why stand out in the cold when you can hit the beach that is 31 tropical degrees every day of the year?!? Ring in 2023 at a family-friendly New Year’s event at West Edmonton Mall’s World Waterpark. Enjoy swimming, sliding, and character appearances – and stay for the indoor fireworks at midnight!

New Years Eve Afterdark at Galaxyland
December 31 | Take a thrilling ride into the New Year at Galaxyland! At New Years Eve Afterdark the lights will be dimmed, the music will be loud, and you will get to experience the joy of unlimited indoor amusement park rides until the new year countdown at midnight!

Strathcona County New Year‘s Eve Festival
December 31 | Prepare to ring in the New Year with Strathcona County with an afternoon of family-friendly events and a spectacular fireworks display over Broadmoor Park! Enjoy crafts and aerial performances at Festival Place, hockey and skating at the Sherwood Park Arena & Sports Centre, and fire dancers, snowshoeing, smores and more in Broadmoor Park.

New Year’s Eve Fireworks in St. Albert
December 31 | Bundle up and stake out your spot early to enjoy the New Year’s Eve Fireworks display in St. Albert’s Mission Park! Catch the show at 8:30 pm. Don’t forget to plan for parking restrictions!

Family Fest New Year’s Eve Celebration in Stony Plain
December 31 | Bring the whole family to Heritage Park in Stony Plain to ring in the New Year! Enjoy skating, horse-drawn wagon rides, a BBQ dinner, live DJ and dance, and early fireworks at 9:00 pm.

New Year’s Day Celebrations

CANCELLED New Year‘s Day at Strathcona Wilderness Centre
January 1 | Grab your toque and mitts and ring in 2024 with New Year’s Day at Strathcona Wilderness Centre! Enjoy kid’s snow play activities, snowshoeing and cross country skiing, take a toonie ski lesson, or take part in the toonie guided snowshoe hike! Regular trail and rental fees apply, and proceeds from the toonie lessons go to the Strathcona County Food Bank.
