Pumpkins After Dark
September 25–October 31 | Pumpkins After Dark is back at Borden Park with 10,000+ hand-carved pumpkins, spectacular displays, roaming entertainment, special theme nights, and plenty of new surprises for 2026. This family-friendly Halloween favourite brings plenty of magic without being too scary for younger kids. Plus, Family Fun Edmonton readers can save 15% on tickets!
Kiwi’s Haunted House
October 9–10, 16–17, 22–24, 29–30 & November 1 | Celebrate spooky season at Kiwi’s Haunted House! Explore haunted trails and a creepy greenhouse filled with skeletons, ghouls, and Halloween surprises. Visit during the child-friendly hour from 5:30–6:30 PM, or stay after dark when the scares ramp up!
Magic in the Mall at Londonderry Mall
October 10 | Get ready for an afternoon of FREE character fun at Magic in the Mall at Londonderry Mall! Grab a Magic Passport to meet princesses, superheroes, pirates and more, then dance along with the Pop Star Girls during an interactive K-pop experience. Costumes are welcome, so dress up, bring your camera and join the fun!
Halloween at Bonnie Doon Centre
October 14-31 | Get into the Halloween spirit at Bonnie Doon Centre with a festive selfie station, plus a FREE afternoon of trick-or-treating, character meet-and-greets, crafts, games, and costume photos on October 31! Dress up the kids and enjoy some indoor Halloween fun before heading out for evening trick-or-treating.
City of St. Albert Halloween Haunt
October 17 | The St. Albert Halloween Haunt is back with an afternoon packed with Halloween fun for kids ages 2–12, including inflatables, treats, crafts, roaming characters, a Spooky Skate, a quieter sensory-aware Inclusive Hour and more! Plus, St. Albert has a great resource to help make trick-or-treating more accessible and inclusive for ALL kids.
Fright Night at Galaxyland
October 24 | Get ready for thrills and chills at Fright Night at Galaxyland! Enjoy unlimited rides, roaming zombies, a live DJ, a 360° photobooth, creepy Mystery Touch Boxes, the Wheel of Fate, and plenty of Halloween surprises during this one-night-only event at West Edmonton Mall!
Howl-O-Ween at Edmonton Humane Society
October 25 | Bring the whole family, including your four-legged friends, to the Edmonton Humane Society for a FREE day of Howl-O-Ween fun! Enjoy adorable Dachshund races, costume contests for people and pets, games, inflatables, face painting, pet activities, and plenty of Halloween treats!
The Haunted Hike in Vegreville
Fridays & Saturdays, October 2–31 | This popular Alberta Halloween tradition takes over a massive warehouse with 20 chillingly themed rooms packed with creepy sights and unexpected scares around every corner. Visitors can choose from family-friendly hours for younger guests or full-intensity evenings with live actors for those brave enough to face the frights.
Prairie Gardens Haunted Pumpkin Festival
Weekends in October + Thanksgiving Monday & Halloween | Explore haunted pumpkin and scarecrow displays, wander through the Ghost Town, brave the kid-friendly Haunted Farm House, and meet costumed characters around the farm. General admission also includes hayrides, trackless train rides, farm animals, a straw bale maze, Pumpkin Corn-i-val games, and more. Don’t forget to visit the pumpkin patch and pick the perfect pumpkin to take home!
Boo at the Zoo!
October 17–18 & 24–25 | Celebrate Halloween with the animals at the Edmonton Valley Zoo! Come dressed in your favourite costume and enjoy all the regular zoo highlights, plus collect treats, meet special character guests, and discover more about animals and conservation along the way.
Jurassic Forest Dinosaur Haunt
October 17 & 24 | Dress up in your Halloween costumes and embark on a prehistoric adventure as you experience the fun of trick-or-treating on the forest trails. Family-friendly costumes are encouraged, as this is a fright-free event for all ages.
Integra Tire Haunted Shop: Scream for Dreams
October 17 | Head to Fort Saskatchewan for a family-friendly day of Halloween fun at the Integra Tire Haunted Shop: Scream for Dreams! Enjoy live music, games, prizes, a horse-drawn wagon, food, treats, coffee and hot chocolate in the heated outdoor tent. Brave visitors can check out the Haunted Shop, a scarier experience intended for adults.
