This Summer, my son and I checked out Aviation Days at the Saskatchewan Aviation Museum. It was such a fun day and a great new experience for us. We are already big fans of the Saskatchewan Aviation Museum so we were excited to be in town during this event. We got to see aircraft from local flight schools, information about aviation in Saskatoon and so much more. It was a great collaboration of fun exploration into the world of flying. There was a pancake breakfast, a BBQ, open cockpit experiences fly-bys, family fun and more.
My son loves all things military so this was the perfect event for him. We got to sit in the jeeps, the jets and all the things that made my child extremely excited to learn about. He was full of questions for the people working at the booths and they made sure to take time to answer his questions and let him try out everything.
Our favourite part of the day is getting the chance to get in all the aircrafts and explore them. My son has a BIG imagination so in every different plane or jet we got into, he had a backstory and a reason we had to save the world. He had a blast exploring the grounds while creating new stories.
It was a windy day but that didn’t stop my family or any of the other families who were visiting from having a good time. We explored the museum and got to see all the extras that were brought in for this celebration. They had a bouncy castle up for kids and they had delicious food available. We loved the visit and it was a perfect event to say goodbye to summer. It kept us busy for most of the afternoon because there was always one more plane to try out.
Aviation Days
This celebration comes once a year but you can still visit the Saskatchewan Aviation Museum all year.
