Below, we’ve compiled a list of special holiday ‘Light Up’ events and parades to ensure you don’t miss a moment of fun!

Lights at Lafarge | November 22, 5pm-8pm
Be one of the first ones to see the incredibly popular Lights at Lafarge at this fabulous kick-off event. Listen to exceptional music from Krystle Dos Santos, Coastal Sound Children’s Choir, and YVR Pop. Then, catch the dazzling Fire & Light performance at 7:40pm where you will be amazed by the incredible skill and artistry. There will also be tons of food trucks onsite to grab a bit to eat or a sweet treat.
Surrey Tree Lighting Festival | November 23 & 24, 12pm-10pm
Visitors to this FREE event will enjoy immersive light experiences, photos with Santa, the lighting of the Surrey Christmas Tree, an enchanted village, live musical performances, and more.
Lights of Hope | November 27, 6pm-8pm
This fun, festive kick-off includes choir performances, hot chocolate, photos with Santa, and tons of activities for the whole family! Lights of Hope is a fundraiser for St. Paul’s Hospital and is on throughout the holidays.
Holiday Cheer at the Pier | November 30, 6pm-8pm
A beloved Port Moody event returns in 2024 and invites visitors to witness the lights turning on at Rocky Point. The marina and surrounding areas will be decked out with beautiful holiday lights for the season. Festive lights will be switched on at 6:15pm, and visitors can enjoy hot chocolate, a scavenger hunt, crafts and activities and an artisan market.
Steveston Tram | December 1, 4:45pm
The big tree in Steveston lights up for the first time on December 1st! Enjoy a festive celebration complete with light refreshments, entertainment, and visits with Santa!
Surrey Santa Parade of Lights | December 1, 5pm
The traditional parade with floats, marching bands, antique vehicles and horses will be joined by an amazing lighted Truck Parade. Everyone is encouraged to bring either a non-perishable food item or a childrenâs toy that will get picked up by one of the members of the Surrey Food Bank and the Surrey Christmas Bureau.
Shine Bright: New West Holiday Kick-off | December 1, 6pm-8:30pm
Join together for warm beverages and treats, live entertainment, and fabulous family-friendly booths.
Santa Claus Parade Maple Ridge |Â December 7, 4pm-8pm (parade starts at 6pm)
Families will enjoy FREE fun including â complimentary beverages (remember to bring your own mug to save waste), Christmas music at the Bandstand, a visit and photo with Santa, a live nativity scene, many beautiful decorations and of course the beloved Christmas parade. The parade starts at 6:00 pm and will include over 70 entries.
Light Up White Rock Pier, December 7, 4pm-8pm
See the big tree being lit for the first time this holiday season, enjoy live music and delicious treats, and have a visit with the big man in red! Bright Walk at White Rock Pier is on until January 12th.
Aldergrove Christmas Light Up Parade | December 14, 4pm-7pm
Donât miss Aldergroveâs Christmas Light Up Parade! The parade begins at 6pm, but there will also be a free pre-parade gathering at the Aldergrove Plaza including food, hot beverages, and live entertainment!
