Family Day is back! Our favourite holiday of the calendar year is celebrated on February 17th this year (but the family-friendly events happen all weekend long). Enjoy the holiday, grab the kids, and go make memories as a family there are DOZENS of events to pick from over the February 15 – 17th weekend.

The Britannia Mine Museum is celebrating with 50% off admission! Bring the whole gang to enjoy a fun filled day at Britannia Mine Museum.
Pizza pool party? A Winter Festival? An outdoor hike? The City of Burnaby is hosting numerous events – some free, some with a minimal cost.
The City of Coquitlam is hosting numerous events at their community centres. The family fun starts on Feb 14 and runs until Feb 17th.
The City of Delta is encouraging families to exercise together on Family Day with swimming and skating sessions happening at a number of venues.
The City of Langley celebrates Family Day for THREE full days! From parkour to open gym time, from photo booths to art drop-ins, the options for families are plentiful. Best of all this is a FREE event.
The annual Fraser Valley Family Day is an event for people of all ages so bring your whole family and your friends too! The day will feature tons of fun activities for kids (face painting, balloon animals, bouncy castles and more)!

On February 14 & 15, families across Metro Vancouver are invited the Massey Theatre to celebrate diversity by attending three unforgettable productions: a fabulous iconic film, The Wizard of Oz, and a contemporary Indigenous opera created with young ones in mind, The Flight of the Hummingbird, and Parents are a Drag, a multigenerational queer family performance which was a smash hit during the 2019 Vancouver International Children’s Festival.

Kids ski for FREE at Mt Seymour! To celebrate BC Family Day, children 12 and under can enjoy a complimentary area pass after 2:30pm all Family Day weekend (Feb 15-17).
It’s a Zoo at Lonsdale Quay…goats, sheep, lambs, chickens, rabbits and a miniature horse are part of the interactive petting zoo at the East Plaza.

The City of Richmond is hosting an unbelievable number of events in honour of Family Day. The majority of the events are for all ages and are FREE! From pancake breakfasts to sporting activities, and from children’s festivals to classic music events, there is something that will peak everyone’s interest.
See the canning line machines in action at 11am, 1pm and 3pm and check out the machine demonstrations on Family Day at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery. Guided tours will be offered throughout the day, as well as fishy crafts for the little ones to enjoy.
The City of Surrey has put together FREE family-friendly events at all of their community facilities. Enjoy a nature walk, a swim, arts & crafts, plus loads of sporting activities and games. The FREE fun starts February 14th and runs until Family Day on the 17th.
Family Day at the Stewart Farm will include pioneer children’s games, samples of baking from the woodstove, a chance to try farm chores, as well as a walk around the grounds of Elgin Heritage Park. The FREE fun happens on February 17.
If you have a kid aged 12 and under you want to take advantage of the FREE admission to the Vancouver Aquarium all Family Day Weekend (Feb 15 – 17).
Celebrate Family Day weekend by letting your kids Take Over UBC. Kids and youth will take on adult-sized roles, working alongside staff and volunteers to participate and promote arts and culture at UBC.
