For all its ups and downs, technology has permanently changed our world and the world of our kids’ future. Calgary Game Developers Academy For Youths Ltd. (CGday™) offers summer camps to kids that offer technical, practical, and collaborative skills that will prepare them to thrive in the technology-driven future.

Parents want their teens and pre-teens to acquire skills that will help them throughout their lives and would love to see their video game passion put to good use! The CGday™ focusses on teaching Calgary’s youth how to use 3-D software and tools with a S.T.E.M.-based curriculum. This safe environment encourages kids to interact and work with each other while making the most of their interest in video games and technology. A summer camp at CGday™ offers game design camps that will teach productive and useful life skills, such as teamwork, networking, and creativity. Your kids will finish their week at camp with an appreciation for innovation and creativity and a view to a future in which they’re deeply invested.

Your kids, ages 9 – 18,  can experience an educational summer camp they won’t forget! Introduction to 3-D Game Design will provide youth with important hands-on experience using professional tools for video game development. They will gain valuable technical skills, learn how to design like a professional game designer, and learn how to build unique gaming environments using industry-leading software. Campers will develop an understanding of 3-D space and how to navigate in a Triple-A video game engine. They will also deconstruct classic board games to learn about rules, structure, and balance.

Camps run from 9 am – 5 pm and you can choose between 4 different weeks: July 15 – 19, July 22 – 26, August 5 – 9, or August 12 – 16, 2019. Before and after-care is also available for a fee. Register now and give your kids the edge they need to excel in tomorrow’s world!
