Who said you need to stick to city streets for Halloween trick-or-treating fun? Head to Camp Cadicasu this fall for Trick or Trail! Open to all ages and all athletic abilities, Trick or Trail at Camp Cadicasu brings you Halloween fun for the whole family.
Only a short drive away, between Calgary and Banff, Camp Cadicasu has been welcoming campers for almost 100 years. Here kids can experience the natural world and the warmth of community while they enjoy fun activities and make new friends, whether at camps or at special events. The camp’s mission is to “increase confidence, inspire purpose-driven lives, and deepen spirituality for people of all different faiths,” and they accomplish this through their summer camps, year-round programs, field trips, and special events.
On October 29, 2023, grab the kids, find some costumes for the whole family, and head to Camp Cadicasu to safely trick-or-treat along a spooktacular forest trail! This is Cadicasu’s annual Halloween Hike-a-Thon. You can hike along the Jumping Pound Loop Trail at your own pace and enjoy beautiful views of the creek and mountains nearby. Complete the full loop or just hike the half loop. There will be activity stations along the way to keep the kids engaged and markers to keep you on track.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Halloween without yummy treats, a little monster mash, and a sprinkle of camp magic! Trick or Trail is an opportunity for you to choose your own adventure. You can participate in the hike (or not) and spend time enjoying the Halloween magic at camp. Staff will be onsite for spooky (but not scary!) activities, including Halloween crafts, trick-or-treating, and a campfire. Enjoy a delicious lunch, snacks, and drinks, and capture the moment with spooky family photos!
