Summer is for playing, going on adventures, and finding new hobbies! It’s the perfect chance for kids to branch out and try something new and build real-life skills. Goldyn Studio Sewing summer camps are the perfect mix of summer fun and learning something cool! This summer, it’s time to play, learn, and grow. Your child’s confidence and sense of accomplishment will flourish as they try new things and hone their skills.
Goldyn Studio Sewing, run by Karolina Goldyn, helps kids experience the satisfaction of creating something with their own hands. Sewing is a practical way to embrace creativity, and it’s especially fun when you can learn in a community with like-minded friends. Goldyn Studio has classes for all ages and abilities.
Goldyn Studio Sewing Summer Camps
Do you have kids aged 8 – 12 years? Whether they have dabbled in sewing before or are complete beginners, they’ll enjoy summer camps at Goldyn Studio Sewing!
These camps run full days, from 9 AM to 4 PM at two different locations, depending on the camp. Small sewing supplies, such as scissors, markers, paint, etc. are provided, as well as practice fabric. Kids will need to bring their own lunch, but water and fruit will be offered daily. Camps will also have time spent outdoors on the playground, so pack sunscreen and hats, too.
Beginner Camps
These camps are designed for beginners or those with a little experience. They teach essential sewing skills through fun projects that will help kids build confidence and create unique, handmade items. Sewing machines will be provided, although kids are welcome to bring their own, if they’d rather learn on a machine they’ll be able to use after the camp. Kids will only need to bring fabric to make a pillowcase and a pair of pyjama pants. Information will be provided on what type of fabric and where to buy, but you can also choose to have all materials provided when you register, so you don’t have to worry about anything.
Dates: July 7 – July 11, 2025
Location: Edgemont Community Association
Dates: July 14 – July 18 and July 28 – August 1, 2025
Location: Capitol Hill Community Association
Intermediate Camp
Does your child already have some experience? The Intermediate Camp requires some sewing experience and kids should know how to thread a sewing machine independently. Sewing machines will be provided, but kids are encouraged to bring their own machine, if they have one. Kids will need to bring fabric for their sewing projects, to make a dress, pants, or a shirt. You will receive information on what to buy, including how much, the type of fabric, and a list of stores. But you’ll also
have an option to purchase ‘all materials provided’ when you register, so you don’t have to buy anything before the camp.
Dates: July 28 – August 1, 2025 (This week is combined with the Beginner Camp, about half and half.)
Location: Capitol Hill Community Association
