Kirk’s Alpaca Farm, about an hour’s drive from Airdrie, is a unique day trip idea for families. Of course, they have alpacas to visit and feed, and you can even pet baby alpacas! Their gift shop is filled with products made from alpaca fibres, from socks to teddy bears, and lots of other local products. They also offer a playground area and basketball court, plus plasma cars, swings, and slides.
