Lougheed House is a grand sandstone prairie mansion built in 1891. It originally served as home to Senator James Alexander Lougheed and his family. Today, Lougheed House is a museum with lovely gardens and a cafe, open to the public as a fine example of prairie sandstone architecture. The museum also hosts periodic special exhibits and events.

Visit Calgary’s only public flower market at Lougheed House this summer! Browse local artists, flower vendors, and makers, take part in free art workshops, and cool off by exploring the museum — all for free. Funding for this event is provided by the City of Calgary Downtown in Motion grant.
