Spring lessons at Pumphouse Theatre bring that creative spark back to life. These lessons encourage kids by allowing them to pursue passions and build beneficial lifelong skills. Plus, kids will meet like-minded friends and have a wonderful time!
Since the early 1970s, the Pumphouse Theatre has provided Calgarians with an affordable place to enjoy the creative arts. Besides hosting theatre productions, they also offer a drama education program. These engaging classes introduce drama basics, offering a host of skills for every child. It’s about learning how to communicate and express yourself and developing confidence and poise. It’s imagination, self-discipline, and critical thinking skills. And at Pumphouse Theatre, it’s also about enjoying the arts, making new friends, and having loads of fun!
Pumphouse Theatre Spring Lessons
Cultivate your young artist’s creativity this spring. Children aged 6 – 11 will have a chance to express themselves at Pumphouse Theatre’s spring lessons. They will find their moment to shine! Classes run on Saturdays from April to June and are divided by age.
Playful Drama: Ages 6 – 8
Saturdays, 10:30 – 11:30 AM; April 11 – June 20, 2026 (No class on May 16)
Class Fee: $125
With a great introduction to the drama basics, this course covers a variety of topics, including storytelling, character, sharing, movement, and theatre games. Your child will explore their imagination, learn new skills, and have fun! No experience is required.
Theatre Arts Exploration: Ages 8 – 11
Saturdays, 10 AM – 12 PM; April 11 – June 20, 2026 (No class on May 16)
Class Fee: $300
Looking for an all-inclusive exploration of the theatre arts? Students will be encouraged to discover various dramatic techniques such as character creation, improvisation, movement, scene study, and more in this course. Plus, they’ll have a blast creating and performing an original final presentation for friends and family. No previous experience is required!
Registration is now open for spring programs at Pumphouse Theatre. Enjoy an early bird discount of $25 if you register at least 30 days before the class begins. You’ll also receive a multi-child discount of $25 if you register more than one child from the same household.
