What will be your new favourite campground? Tall Timber Leisure Park, with its indoor pool, snack bar and two large new playgrounds, is very popular with RV, trailer and 5th-wheel families!

The beautiful Red Deer River runs right through Sundre and features Class-3 Rapids that make for a fantastic family adventure! Otter Rafting Adventures runs half-day and full-day rafting and inflatable kayak trips every day between May 15th and September 15th, for guests 50 pounds and up. Like your outdoors green and groomed? Then you’ll want to know that Sundre is home to one of Canada’s best 18-hole courses, at the Sundre Golf Club. They have the option to do just 9 holes and offer discounts for Juniors (18 & under) and afternoon and twilight tee times. Non-golfers can ride along for a nominal fee too!

Wild horses make their homes in the foothills and mountains near Sundre.

This big guy, part of the World of Wildlife, enjoys greeting visitors to the Sundre Museum.

Like so much of Alberta, Sundre boasts a fascinating natural & human history, which is on display at the Sundre Museum. Along with learning more about how modern Sundre came to be, kids will love the 4-acre Pioneer Village and the Chester Mjolsness World of Wildlife, featuring 150 taxidermy birds and animals from around the world, including an elephant and a giraffe!
