This Remembrance Day, pause a moment to remember. There are several significant Remembrance Day services in the City of Calgary, and we have collected a few highlights below. You may also find more services at Royal Canadian Legions or community centres in your area. Remembrance Day ceremonies offer a chance to teach our kids about the service and sacrifices made by our military personnel.
Before Remembrance Day, you can also join the 6th Annual Veterans Transition Network (VTN) Ride for Veteran Mental Health on November 9, 2025. This non-competitive group ride starts and ends at the Field of Crosses. Families can honour veterans, lay wreaths, and enjoy the outdoors.
This guide is accurate to the best of our knowledge at the time of writing, but be sure to confirm before heading out.

CPKC Ceremony
This Remembrance Day ceremony pays tribute to the many CPKC employees who served. The ceremony is open to the public and continues the company’s annual tradition of honouring veterans. Flags on CPKC property in Canada will be lowered to half-staff in honour of all veterans, and refreshments will be served from 11:15 AM to 1 PM. The ceremony takes place at CPKC’s Memorial Square, a meaningful space built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War. You can learn more about the legacy of our veterans—including the six former Canadian Pacific employees awarded the Victoria Cross—on their website.
