The Works Art & Design Festival
June 27 – July 1 | The Works Art & Design Festival is North America’s largest free outdoor festival dedicated to visual art! Head to Edmonton’s downtown core to discover large-scale installations, multi-disciplinary performances, demonstrations, and workshops from artists, designers, and patrons from around the world. Everyone is welcome to come experience, discover, and explore creativity through art & design.
Galaxy Fest 2024 at TELUS World of Science – Edmonton
July 1 |July 1 also marks the Science Center’s 40th birthday! To celebrate they will be putting on a full day of fun during Galaxy Fest 2024. Be there for this exciting throwback celebration that includes their LARGEST rocket launch to date, birthday cake, liquid nitrogen ice cream, the science of fireworks, DIY dino hats, a mascot party, and MORE!
Take A Kid To The Course – FREE Golfing
July 1-7 | Tee up together this week to take advantage of the FREE Take A Kid To The Course program! During this week, participating golf courses will offer a free round of golf to kids aged 16 and under when accompanied by a paying adult.
Where Pyramids Collide at the Muttart Conservatory
All Month | Muttart Conservatory has an all-new Ancient Egyptian themed summer feature pyramid. Plan a visit on weekday mornings for additional drop-in programming just for preschoolers!
Kids at Kiwi Summer Crafts
Sundays (drop-in) & Tuesdays (book online) | Bring the kids for some inexpensive summer fun at Kiwi Nurseries just outside Acheson. Kids at Kiwi events are just $5 per child (recommended 3-12 years) and include the chance to discover this year’s theme – pollinators – through crafts, experiments, and learning activities!
Edmonton International Street Performers Festival
July 5-14 | Every July the Edmonton International Street Performers Festival transforms Churchill Square into an outdoor 3 ring circus! This year they are celebrating 40 years of bringing in some of the world’s best local, national and international street artists to perform in the incredible circle-show and rove among the streets.

Meet Your Neighbourhood Firefighters at a Fire Station Open House
July 6 & 20 | Meet the firefighters and fire prevention officers at rotating stations throughout the city, tour the trucks and equipment, and learn some important fire safety tips. All Fire Station Open House events run 12-4 pm and are free to the public to attend.
Take Me Out to the Riverhawks Ball Game!
Select days throughout July | Get out and watch a baseball game this summer at the open air RE/MAX field in the heart of our downtown river valley. Monster Jam at Rogers Place
July 13 & 14 | Experience full-throttle family fun as these 12,000 lb machines take the stage and compete in intense competitions of speed and skill. Tour Stony Plain by Horse and Wagon

Art Gallery All Day Sunday
July 14 | One Sunday per month families can enjoy art activities, programs and projects that will tie into current exhibits at the gallery. The fun is perfect for all ages, and is free with your gallery admission (which is always free for kids 17 and under – so only the grown-ups have to pay to get in!) This month’s theme is Imaginary Worlds.
See an Edmonton Elks Football Game with the Family
July 14 & 28 | Enjoy a night of family-friendly CFL football action at Commonwealth Stadium. July 14 is a fun Dino Days themed game, and July 28 will be an exciting cultural celebration at Indigenous Night! Plan to be there 2 hours before kick-off to experience everything Fan Park has to offer, including The Brick Kids Zone! The kids will have a blast with the inflatables, balloon artists, face painters, football mini games, and the Kids Zone Express Train.

K-Days 2024
July 19-28 | The thrill of the midway is back in Edmonton with the return of K-Days for 10 fun-filled days. See a free concert or show, visit Klondike Park, visit the maker faire, ride the Zipper, watch the nightly fireworks, or treat yourself to a bucket of warm mini donuts – there’s something for everyone!
Leduc West Antique Society Annual Exposition Event
July 20 & 21 | Head to the Leduc West Antique Society for their BIGGEST event of the year! The Annual Exposition Event will offer a pancake breakfast, tours of the historic building and antique vehicle displays, a vintage tractor pull competition, petting zoo, face painting, a vintage parade, and steam engine, sawmill, blacksmith, threshing, and plowing demonstrations.
Family Nature Nights
July 24 & 31 | Don’s miss this free program through Nature Alberta aimed at kids aged 4 to 12 and their families. Explore some of Edmonton and areas most beautiful natural spaces and learn about critters that call them home!
Summer in the City! Leduc
July 27 | Plan to be in Leduc parks for a full day of fun during Summer in the City! Find free activities and food trucks at various locations throughout Leduc including the Leduc Recreation Centre, Leduc Boat Club, Alexandra Park, Harry Bienert Park, and Corinthia Park (featuring Ride the Vibe).

July 28 | Farm Animal Rescue & Rehoming Movement outside Wetaskiwin invites guests to come meet their friendly animal residents and enjoy lawn games, arts and crafts, and a barbeque (by donation)
