Do you know how your kids will be spending their days during Spring Break?? It’s nearly here and unless you’re taking a family vacation, you need a plan! Bricks 4 Kidz spring break camps offer an exciting, fun, and inspiring environment where kids get to play, while learning principles of architecture and design, along with all four of the S.T.E.A.M. concepts: science, technology, engineering, arts and math.

In addition, kids continue developing their classroom and social skills, while they follow directions, stay organized, and practice patience, teamwork and effective communication. Kids’ self-esteem will be enhanced by the pride they feel in solving problems and completing projects. Bricks 4 Kidz spring break camps get your kids doing so much more than just playing with LEGO®, but they’ll be having way too much fun to notice how much they’re learning.

For Spring Break 2016, Bricks 4 Kidz Calgary is offering two all-new camps:

Brick Critters – The Secret Life – Ever wonder what your pets do while you are at school? Join Max, an adorable dog and Snowball the rabbit on this fun and furry adventure. Then dive to the depths of the ocean with Dory to help her search for her family. Build other favourite aquatic movie sea life as well. In additional to imagining what pets do when left alone, build various critters including motorized buzzing bees, fluttering butterflies, and more!

Jurassic Brick Land – Are you ready for the adventure of a lifetime? Put on your hiking boots and camouflage…you’re about to enter Jurassic Brick Land! Campers will build a world that comes to life with gentle Brontosaurus, ferocious Velociraptor, terrifying T-Rex, and more! You’ll learn about amazing dinosaurs that lived during the Jurassic period and other extinct prehistoric animals that roamed the earth and swam the seas during that era and many millions of years later.

All camps make use of activity stations which include traditional bricks, motorized technic models, LEGO® art mosaics, creative free play and themed games and challenges. Bricks 4 Kidz is justifiably proud of their specially designed kits and model plans; you won’t find them anywhere else! Sessions also include a snack break (nut-free please), outdoor play (weather permitting) and a small daily take home item.

Calgary spring break camps are available to kids aged 5-12 and are offered at the Bricks 4 Kidz Creativity Centre during both the CBE (March 21 to 24) and CSSD (March 28 to 31) school breaks. Camps are offered in morning (9 am – noon) and afternoon (1 – 4 pm) sessions. Campers who are enrolled in both the morning and afternoon session on the same day(s) are are supervised over the lunch break for FREE.

The secret is out and Bricks 4 Kidz camps have become very popular, so register early to be sure you get in! Spring camp registration is already open (as is registration for summer camps!); you can sign up for just one or two sessions ($35 each) or the whole week ($165 per half day). Build on, young Master Builders!
