These creative, energetic camps give kids a chance to play and discover, and parents can be assured their child is in safe, competent hands.
Kids Coollege has a goal to provide high-quality childcare and educational services at an affordable price, so every parent can go to work knowing their kid is in a safe and fun environment. School-age kids will be empowered with life skills while they have fun with friends, developing into the best people they can be. And while the prices are cost-effective, knowing your child is cared for and happy while you’re working is priceless.
The summer camps at Kids Coollege allow children to explore their interests through play and recreation. Kids will make new friends and explore the exciting things each day has to offer, as each week has unique themes that kids love. They will explore sports, dance, cooking, art, and science while enjoying a week of fun, friends, and adventure!
These camps, for kids from kindergarten to grade six, run weekly from July 4 – August 31, 2022, from 9 am to 3 pm, and parents can access before and after-care, for no extra cost, starting at 7 am and ending at 6 pm. If spots are available on a given day, drop-ins are also welcome. (But be sure to contact Kids Coollege to complete any necessary forms.) Kids Coollege is also a licensed childcare centre, so they can accept childcare subsidies and government grants. They also offer a discount if you’re registering for 4 weeks or more, and the weeks do not have to be consecutive.
Kids could attend every week this summer and never get bored! There are also wonderful field trips planned (to be confirmed as the summer progresses) to popular locations like the Calgary Zoo, Granary Road, Heritage Park, Big Fun Inflatable Park, and Calgary Farmyard. July 4 – 8, 2022: Mission Impossible
Are your little spies good at sneaking around corners and need a place to test their skills? Are they able to be super fast like ninjas? This week will be all about super cool, super spies. Test your brains with codes and agility with the obstacle course! Come on in, to the Kids Coollege Super Spy Training Center!
July 11 – 15, 2022: Wild West
Campers will face off in a variety of western-styled activities and games throughout the week, showing love for the Calgary Stampede and the heart of the west! This week will include Stampede breakfast (in the center and/or in the Douglas Glen Square), western-styled games, such as horseshoes, and so much more!
July 18 – 22, 2022: Ooey, Gooey
Does your child love sticky, slimy, and silly science? Then this is the week for them! They will have a special guest from Mad Science drop by with some sticky science activities for the children and even make their own potions. Come on in, to the Kids Coollege Laboratory!
July 25 – 29, 2022: Mystery Week
Have your children said that they want to be a police officer or detective, solving all kinds of mysteries? This week, they will learn about forensic science and how to connect clues to be able to solve the Kids Coollege Mystery of “Who stole the toys?!”
August 2 – 5, 2022: Holidays in August
We wait all year for Christmas, birthdays, and Halloween, and only get to celebrate one day? Why not get another chance? Kids will celebrate all of the special days in one week in the middle of summer! Are you excited?
August 8 – 12, 2022: Around the world in 5 Days
Do you have an adventurer on your hands? Do your children want to travel the world? They will see cool places all over the world with virtual tours and tasty treats. Grab your boarding pass while you go around the world!
August 15 – 19, 2022: Animal World
ROAR! Lions, tigers, zebras, and moose! Animals of all shapes and sizes roam the world and you can learn so much about them. Join Kids Coollege on virtual safaris in Africa, and even Canadian wildlife hikes in your own backyard, to learn so much about nature!
August 22 – 26, 2022: Hawai’ian Hullabaloo
Aloha! We may not have warm sandy beaches and waves crashing against the shore, but we do have imagination. Kids Coollege will be transformed into a Hawai’ian escape, so join them in Hawai’i!
August 29 – 31, 2022: Spa and Relaxation
Summer is almost over and school is about to begin! A final week of R & R, and you’re back at it again. This week, kids will be doing all things relaxing (and a little bit of fun too!). It’s just what they need before another year of school!
