The Painted Fish Theatre Company presents plays and musicals that are family-friendly and offer messages of encouragement and hope. The Painted Fish Performing Arts Society is run completely by volunteers, and they encourage families to participate. They generally present one show a year and a Medieval Feast in the fall.
Check out Hairspray: The Musical, coming this spring. Bursting with colour, comedy, and irresistible rhythm, Hairspray is a feel-good celebration you won’t want to miss. Set in 1960s Baltimore, the show follows big-haired, big-hearted teen Tracy Turnblad as she dances her way onto a local TV show—and into a civil rights movement that changes her city forever.
